Uhm yeah I’d love to see some more Drago fanart so uhh anyone interested in an art trade?  Like I’ll draw you stuff if you draw me some Drago and if it’s just a headshot etc.

But if you want me to draw something specific without drawing me Drago you can send me a palette number for the palette meme thing just make sure I know which palette exactly it is.

I greatly enjoy these, especially when being asked to draw stuff I haven’t drawn yet/are not familiar with.

"And now I’m tainted, wearing this coat of red"
Noalok week - Forcibly -
Finally caught up and that’s the first time I actually did all 7 pics of a shipping week yay!
I went with the rather obvious being forced to bloodbend approach.
I never expected these pics to focus more on them as kids than on them as adults but in the end there was still so much to “say” that had to be done first for me.
No matter how well the rest of Lok will be I’ll never forgive the boat scene.  This is just this really unforgivable big no.  This just crossed a line. (and it doesn’t help that Ghazans suicide is also depicted as some kind of noble and respectable thing)

Spontaneous color palette challenge! My favourite men with Scars and really nice hair.  Noataks real scars still count even though they are not visible.
Drago doesn’t have that lock in his face in the movie but it looks super nice on his concept art, he also has really bad teeth but I kinda like it despite it being another thingy on top of the cliché villain things that are not really okay anymore.  The thing is when drawing a character trying to make them recognizable you notice even more how their design is problematic(like his facial shape and the very prominent lips).  At the same time there are also ppl who have the cliché traits and it kinda sucks double for them but it doesn’t mean they can’t look gorgeous.

For Noalok week -Hope- I don’t remember which day it was sorry, finally catching up!
This picture started out as the one for domesticity, what became a roof was originally a table but when the rough sketch looked similar to this composition I was like “this is the one for hope!”, it’s a limited palette too but I ended up not really using all colors, two are barely used.
I wasn’t sure how it relates to hope though but I think it’s just them surviving and the hope for a new better life?
I’ve seen people say that it’s better they are dead because their failed attempt at new lives prove they can’t have a happy life.
But I disagree, I don’t think they are inherently unable to start over, their previous attempt was just doomed from the beginning.
They both started new lives that had them hide their past so they never had the chance to sort their issues out and make peace with themselves, also they started off with guilt from the beginning.
Tarrlok possibly felt guilty for his brothers assumed death since it were his actions that led him to run away but more for what he has become, made even worse when his brother isn’t even death so he knows his brother has seen what he became.
Noatak left his brother alone with their father and feels possibly also responsible for Tarrlok ending up a corrupt politician and the opposite of what he used to be, it’s something he could have prevented.
But when they actually survive and stick together I think they actually have a genuine chance.  They actually can make peace with their past but also with the issues between them.
This is why I don’t like AUs that have only one of them survive, not because one of them is dead but because it means the one who survives can never get his brothers forgiveness, mend what was broken.
I like them as a ship but I don’t even need them as a ship(I highly approve of the Lieumon-Korrlok combo, I like the Noalok Lintenant one too, Lieu strikes me as someone who’s for justice and if the Republic city police would actually support nonbender I could definitely see him join them being in charge of non bender issues, screw those who say he’s a bad person for enjoying electrocuting Korra, she kicked him off a fucking roof, he could’ve died for fucks sake, also he seems a supernice and trustworthy and unfortunately too trusting person, just look at what a sweetie he was to Makorra disguised as equalists), as long as they are alive and happy or at least not hating themselves too much.
